VIKING SPADES

No matter how hard the storm may be - the viking fleet will never give up.

Team Viking Spades is sponsored by the Scandinavian hardware store Viking. That's why the riders are often shown in chainsaw and gardening advertisements.

The team was built around the serene allrounder Olav Olsen, who can also keep up a good sprint.

He is backed up by the popular young Finnish time trialist Matti Meikäläinen, the childlike climber Morten Menigmand and his assistant Ebbe Flut. The team leader is the Norwegian allrounder Haakon Nordmann.

Since sponsor Viking is in the reds, the cycling team might get disbanded at the end of the season. Olav and his teammates work hard for a good team advertisement. So maybe a new main sponsor can be attracted for the next cycling season.
